Illustration Friday 3/31/11

So this week's theme is 'Toys' this popped into my head and would not let go. I decided to just leave it as the pen work because I liked it. I may go back and color this later but the pens scratchy-ness and the simple black and white design works a lot better.

done on regular paper, with a left handed pen my mother bought me. You have the toy playing with his toys.

Cultivate

So i started this piece with an entirely different composition. Then decided one night right before I went to sleep that I need to change the composition because it just wasn't working. Working around I took that Pot that it was working on brought into a different file and came up with this. The flowers and bee spell out the word cultivate.

So after much issues getting everything transfered from one host to another host and then deciding that redoing my website is important I have it up.

And trust me this is a big deal. :)

Disney Villians

This was done last year for another art collaboration entitles 'Disney Villians' I had a lot of fun with this piece trying to find the right look for the character. I mean how can one not like a villian that is both evil, still cries out for his mommy and sucks his thumb?here is Prince John 

I love doing these type of things because i get a chance to work with fellow artists and i get a chance to do fun stuff in between work stuff. Disney Villian Collab.


Keep an eye out in the following weeks because by my 25th birthday I should have a whole new set of portolio pieces if not a portfolio to display. I will also have my website up dammit even if it kills me. Ohh and is anyone interested in seeing my daily sketchs? is so let me know and i'll start posting them. Thanks  and have a great day.

Illustration Friday

While I have done work for various weeks of Illustration Friday, this will be my first post for it and the first time i'll link it back to the site. This was done in photoshop at about 4x6 photo size. The theme for the week was desert so i choose one of my fave deserts.

quick update

so i have just a quick update.
in a couple days i'm thinking of taking my website down until the new one can be put up...for that to happen i need to finish a few last minute projects, photograph them and then html write everything....
also does anyone have a web server that they just adore...i like mine but for what i use the are a bit pricey.

i'm also going to be separating my illustration life from my total life on facebook so that it will be easier to keep track of everything and one.

i'm also very happy to say i have lots of artwork to post and talk about...

so stay tuned i refuse to dissapoint. ;)
